The School District of Cambridge has an opening for a 50% FTE position serving multi-categorical special education student needs at the elementary school level. Applicants must hold a State of Wisconsin Cross-Categorical license at the elementary level. The candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring educational programming, behavioral strategies, and behavioral intervention plans for students based upon their individual needs. While special education services are provided in a cross-categorical model, qualified candidates will have experience(s) and a passion for working with children with emotional behavioral disabilities and autism. The School District of Cambridge is pleased to offer a long-term substitute teaching position in one of its 4th-grade classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children and the skills to guide them to success in their learning. This position requires a dynamic and progressive teacher who has a strong background in (1) balanced literacy instruction/assessment using ReadyGen/Fountas & Pinnell, (2) Everyday Math, (3) Differentiated Instruction, (4) RtI, PBIS, (5) PLCs and (6) strong classroom management skills. Candidate must have the ability to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students. Technology literacy is also desired.
