limited term hs interventionist

The School District of Cambridge has an opening at the high school level working with students who are either at risk or are experiencing serious academic deficits. Our intervention position pushes into Algebra as well as Grade 9 ELA to support instruction and gain a full understanding of the instruction and assessment practices. The interventionist then pulls targeted students from study hall to work on skills issues to ensure that all students are demonstrating skills that are at or above grade level. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional learning community and build positive relationships with students and families. The candidate will possess excellent classroom management skills and have a strong understanding in technology integration, data-driven decision making, research-based instructional practices and Common Core State Standards. This position qualifies for a full benefit package. The candidate must have a bachelor degree and a State of Wisconsin grades 6-12 teaching license in a core academic area or in special education. Preference will be given to those Math or ELA certifications. Someone with experience in working with at-risk populations is preferred. The School District of Cambridge is seeking an individual to serve multi-categorical special education student needs at the elementary level. The successful candidate will hold a State of Wisconsin Cross-Categorical license at the elementary level. The candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring educational programming, behavioral strategies, and behavioral intervention plans for students based upon their individual needs. While special education services are provided in a cross-categorical model, qualified candidates will have experience(s) and a passion for working with children with emotional behavioral disabilities and autism. In addition, the qualified candidate will have knowledge of and experience in RtI, PBIS, non-violent crisis intervention and will possess excellent people skills.
