Course Description:

This course applies the study of color and composition to the creation of  painting with water-based media.  Students also prepare painting supports of paper, panel and canvas.  Emphasis is on development, use and response to different materials and how one sees and translates color and values using those materials.  Advanced courses are also available.  Those courses will build on the fundamental principles,  methods and materials in painting.  Please watch the slide show below to see work that our students have created. Each piece was created by using watercolor, acrylic, oil or  multimedia.
