Course Description: This is a hands-on course which introduces students to many types of tools, equipment and machines used in the woodworking industry. Students will be given basic information so that they will be able to operate these machines, tools and equipment safely with minimal supervision. Job planning is introduced so students can understand the need for modeling/designing, bill of materials, cost of materials and sequential procedures in fabrication and assembly of projects. A required project will be assigned so that students can better understand the concepts being covered in this course.
