It was a busy Friday with a pond study and some egg-streme parachuting 🪂 🥚
Students measured dissolved oxygen and nitrate levels in the SLC pond. They also collected and identified aquatic macroinvertebrates to calculate the biotic index.
Another group constructed parachute canopies of different sizes and evaluated the surface area, velocity, and drag of each. They then took on a design challenge (in competition with one another) to land an egg safely.
Now enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year.
