The successful candidate will fill a 7.25 hour per day school year position serving special education students under the direction of the special education teaching staff and building principal. Preferred applicants have experience working with children and/or children with disabilities. Other responsibilities may include supervision of students in the cafeteria, on the playground, and during arrival/departure.

In our classrooms, you may have students who are performing at various levels and students with significant intellectual disabilities, and across races, social classes, and language levels. This candidate will build rapport with students of color, students from low-income families, students labeled with a disability, students who are culturally and linguistically diverse, and students who are LGBTQ to ensure the physical, psychological, and emotional safety of all children.

PT NUTRITION TEAM STAFF MEMBER - WECAN # 154109

Job Description:

The School District of Cambridge is seeking an energetic individual for a Nutrition Team Staff Member. This position will start August 26, 2022 and the hours will be from 9-1:30, 22.5 hours/wk. Duties would include:

- Setting up serving line

- Help serve students in a positive manner

- Fill in for cook and other food service personnel as needed

- Follow safety and sanitation standards. Cleans and sanitized food preparation areas; washes dishes, pots and pans, utensils, counters, tables, sinks, equipment, putting away cleaned dishes, pots and pans., etc.

Qualifications:

  • Food Service experience preferable, but not required

  • Ability to work at a fast pace, great communication skills, & excellent customer service skills

  • Moderate physical ability required, must be able to lift heavy items (40 pounds)

  • Regular and consistent attendance is required

  • Ability to be flexible and fill in where needed.

FOOD SERVICE SUBSTITUTES

Our food service department is seeking reliable individuals to serve as substitutes for our kitchen staff. Servers complete basic tasks commonly expected to be performed in a school kitchen, including preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning dishes and utensils, preparing the serving area, operation of all food service equipment, and end of shift cleaning.

CUSTODIAL SUBSTITUTES

Our buildings and grounds department is always seeking reliable individuals to serve as substitutes for our custodial staff at our three buildings. Duties may include floor care, cleaning of bathrooms & fixtures as well as classrooms, set up and take down for special activities, emergency clean up and other duties as assigned. A high school diploma and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required.
